but i did think his celebration was over the top

Yeah that's what happens when you start taking singles, inching your way to your personal milestone while your team's run rate dies in the ar5e.

At the time I thought the celebrations were a bit OTT. Considering the position the Poms were in.
I could've imagined those celebrations being okay IF KP had got his side well and truly out of trouble - but he hadn't, and the cost of him inching his way to that 100 was obvious to most who were watching the game.

The celebration was ordinary.

"Baby on board". Why dont you put a sign on ur car saying "adult on board" or "car stereo in use"?

Whilst I ain't a fan of his character/mannerisms etc. - I do enjoy watching him bat and he can play the most amazing shots.. He is good for the game when in full flight BUT he batted for himself no doubt and didn't give a toss about the team..
I don't know about being overrated, he stats say he is the No. 1 ODI batsman but never has been and never will be a team player.. Give me MH or RP anyday..

I suppose he did come from Seth Efrica, enough said!

i seem to remeber the australians celebrating the first ashes test win in 2005 pretty hard and i bet noone complained about that, when ponting scored his double century against india in adelaide he was prancing around blowing kisses and did australia win that match, no. if you dont celebrate a good achievement at teh moment it occurs then you mightnt get to celebrate it at all

Good point Mayse but

when someone gets a double ton in a test you are in a good position
when you are one up and you hold the ashes you are in a good position
when you are losing wickets and the run rate is dropping then you aren't in a good position

That's the difference.

but when you are KP all that matters is personal stats not the teams position.

they were lucky to beat the bangers this morning, 2 wickets in an over to the left arm spinner - freddy and bopara might have had shivers going through there spines...........

KP knocked up another ton against the West Indies and the celebration this time was muted. 'Ah he looks more focused this time' I thought to myself. Next ball, wild swing bowled for an even 100. England need 32 runs to win off 23 balls...Plunkett walks to the wicket...

Nice one Kev

ENGLAND 6/189
112 OFF 85 BALLS NEEDED

KP 100 OFF 91 INNINGS steers them to victory

32 of 23 needed he swipes misses OUT
REB hardly the shot of a man who plays for himself
He often throws his wicket away
