Who do you want to make the semi-finals

Postby am Bays » Sun Apr 15, 2007 8:45 am

Well with NZ beating South Africa last night it comes down to South Africa v England with the winner taking the last semi-final place (there is a chance Sth Africa can still claim it if they lose but will require the Windies to pump the Commonwealth Invitational XI in the super eights game).

Who so you want to win - for mine the Commonwealth Invitation XI as having watched Smith over the last few years noting will be funnier watching Seth Efrica fall into a hole again at a World Cup.

Mind you with how they've played at the World Cup so far you'd think Seth Efrica should win, now is the time for Pieterrsen to stand up though if he is as good as some people on this site say he is - well good batsmen rise to the occasion (he will need some help though from Collingwood and Bell)
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

They have got to shorten it somehow next time ..... the super 8's concept takes too long. Maybe make it a super 6's. It's like 2 competitions in one. Round 1 is 24 matches, super 8's another 28 .... enough already!

Australia will have played 11 matches if they reach the final.
