rod he had one terrible blunderous year, he must captain in his last year and you must tell him
two things , bowl front line bowlers for the first 50 overs, and when the opposition bats different
batsman demands different field settings, not the stereotype same fields I saw too often.

MAL HOW DO WE IMPROVE OUR BATTING
rod thats difficult, you can make bowlers bowl harder, fielders to try harder ,but its hard to
evaluate batting.
I notice that our top order gets to 20 as often as other batsman in the country, the difference is we
do not convert our starts to big scores.
even though BOOF is 37 bat him at 4
bat COSI at 5 in all games dont make him opener and then middle order every 2nd game.

at practice make them bat for 2-3 hours non stop
make them walk for 3 hours or slow jogs for long periods perhaps
I used to run 6 laps at practice, do a few sprints and then bat in the nets.....
The focus must be on conversion of starts to big innings.
