Congratulations to India.
Played a good, steady game and deserved to win. Certainly didn't offer too many chances with the bat, just one from Gambhir at a very important time when he was about 30, and would have made them 3-70 or 80.
However I'd be pretty unhappy if I were a Sri Lankan fan because there were a few holes in their game that could have been easily fixed that could have changed things:
-scoring only hanfdul of runs in the first 5-6 overs, when you'd be hoping for 20-25, and this was about what their total was short in the end
- their ground-fielding was atrocious, despit what the commentators wanted to say. Australia even on an average day wouldn't have given away 15 of the runs they did.
- the captaincy seemed to lack a bit of spark and was happy to drift along with the game a bit.
- why did Murali and Randiv, the two-offspinners, persist virtually all night with bowling around the wicket to the right-handers?
- The two medium pacers Perrera and Kulasekara were very ordinary when all they had to do wasbe a steady back up Malinga.
