How the hell is he so bad and still get picked.
Why is he allowed to be so bad ??????????? Where is the bowling coach ????????
Does he get picked because his Mrs goes on tour ?

Gladstone Small opened the innings against the Aussies in '89 with a ball that missed the pitch down leg side by metres!!

and lets not forget harmy

Tufnell. Stuart MacGill's last test.

Johnson gets picked because we have no better option. Which is usually the reason anyone gets picked. Johnson has an ODI average of under 26, he's no slouch. Obviously he's not in the McGrath category, but he's good enough.

I'll never forget a delivery from Malcolm Marshall in Australia around 1983/84, barely landed half way down the pitch, was so wide it would have missed the wicketkeeper by about 5 metres going down the leg side for 4 wides.

He could be much better, that's my real problem with him.
Why, year after year are the same issues with his action not getting fixed at this level of cricket.
He showed at the WACA he could bring the ball into the right hander after a quick net session with DKL, and the next test he bowls garbage again.
Either he is too bloody lazy to do the right things or our coaching is up the creek.

Totally agree Smithy, I really rate the guy and he could be the best in the world but for some reason he lapses into bad habits from time to time. Early in the tournament he was bowling a bad ball here or there and following it up with some unplayable crackers. Last night he was just rubbish, just wish someone could find his on/off switch.
