Dear Cricket Australia

Postby Baron Greenback » Wed Feb 02, 2011 3:33 pm

Dear Cricket Australia,

Thanks for absolutely ruining Tasmania's chance of making the Big Bash final and thus a spot in the Champions League.
Keeping Tim Paine and Xavier Doherty in your squad is a great idea , giving them no practice in the lead-up to the World Cup and also depriving a state with little success over the past 30 years the chance to play on the world stage.
We still might have lost to New South Wales last night anyway, but to take our best batsman and our best bowler away is absolute rubbish.

Eat a massive d*ck wankers.

Yours sincerely,

Baron Greenback.

And if extra NSW players had been called into the squad it would have been the old 'Baaaa Blue Cap Green Cap Blue Cap Green Cap Baaaaa' comments on this board. Suck it up sunshine the Bluebaggers have won bigger matches in the real cricket for years with more national reps.

At least the NSW players in the squad are playing though REB.
What's the point in having them in the squad if they're not playing?
I'd feel the same way if it happened to another state, but because it's Tassie I'm a little more parochial ;)

I must admit you two, I cannot understand why Paine has been kept in cotton wool since playing a 20/20 for Tas, Doherty I can understand if they decided to play a spinner, which is always a chance, but Paine - please selectors tell us what is going on there. I would have thought a game or two might get him into match fitness - obviously not. And then they play Fergie before him, when Paine in WC squad and Fergie will be sipping chardonnay at the Ramsgate.

Exactly BF. It's an absolute farce.
I don't care if Paine was playing for Devonport B grade! Let the bloke get some game time ahead of the WC.

Well I read today that Doherty's injured so that can't be helped.
But still no excuse for Paine.
