Mick Lewis

Postby New Era » Sun Jan 09, 2011 5:57 pm

Let me say from the outset, the report in today's Mail of the bashing of Mick Lewis last year is as cowardly as it is abhorrent and in no way am I attempting to diminish the seriousness of it. We have been deprived of many people, both John Citizen and David Hookes in particular however, and I say this with tongue in cheek. Half way through the article Mick Lewis was attempting to find some reasoning to the senseless act and in typical self righteous indignation of today's sporting identities came up with this pearl of wisdom.

"It was just one of those things, I suppose, where they want to brag to their mates that they king-hit Mick Lewis."

My god I nearly fell off the chair, reality is Mick, if any of these cowards were my mates and were attempting to "brag that they king-hit Mick Lewis", I can honestly say my response would have been, you weak basterds but who the hell is Mick Lewis.

Dont think he is that bad. Still handy at state level.
That day against the saffers they chased over 400 so their is a fair chance one of the bowlers went for a few

My sentiments exactly... Can't for the life of me understand why he thinks he's a "famous" target...

Certainly didn't recognise him by the face in the newspaper...
