Aust v England - Aussie Day game today.

First Class Cricket Talk (International and State)

Postby blink » Mon Jan 29, 2007 9:43 am

Just got back home from Adelaide after attending this match, and what a farce it was. I bet CA told Australia to bat as slow as they could (and Hayden to run out Gilchrist) as so not to piss off Channel 9 and the crowd. There were a few things that made attending the match worth while though....

- Chick in the Cougar top
- Mexican wave. After constant messages all day on the big screen from CA saying the wave was banned, a huge one cranked up during the boring Australian innings, with anything that could be found being thrown up in the air.
- Heckling Ed Joyce from the boundary all through the Australian innings. Bloke cannot field.

Hey Sam any truth to the rumour Steve McLaren is going to get the ar5e, to be replaced by Sir Francis Drake, at least he knows how to beat the Spanish.....
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!
