I think it's only his Tatts that keep him in the side.... Maybe that's what Ricky is lacking?

Dear Ricky,

You are without doubt the number 1 batsman in my time watching cricket that I would pay good money to go and watch. Apart from some low returns on the sub continent you have dominated attacks around the world. Front foot, back foot, IMO I have seen not seen an Aussie player that had all the shots that you did possess. I rate you as the greatest all round fielder I have ever seen and have often debated how good you actually were.

It saddens me to see you struggle the way you are now. We the cricketing public of the world want to remember the cricketer that you were, not the struggling batsman we are currently seeing. You have given great service to Aus cricket and you owe it nothing. A member of arguably the best team the Aus have put on the park in the early 2000's.

PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE Ricky, the time is now.

Regards

Makes you wonder if the players endorsements decide when they retire now rather than fitness and form.

I hate arrogant posters who know the same amount about cricket as I do yet they won't budge from their pig-headed opinions! 2 options for Australia, total cleanout except Watson Khawaja Hussey and Smith. Hussey interim captain for 2 years, and get Fergusson in with others and a tall fast pace attack with a wrist spinner! Or keep the majority of the side and blood players like Khawaja etc over time! Ponting is a great player and a great captain! Stats dont lie! Get off his back, if Waugh or Border had the attack and batters that punter has had, they would not do anywhere near as good as him!
