Once again our batsman fail. Once again England batsman will have no pressure on them if they can see off the new ball today. You guys think it's all about taking 20 wkts, so our batting dosn't matter. It's easier to take wickets if you have runs on the board. Then your bowlers can bowl in partnerships and try to applie some pressure. With that score we made in Perth it wont be long until Ponting has the 1 slip and trying to retain instead of attack. Is S.Smith good enough to bat 6, Is S.Smith good enough to be our number 1 spinner, the answer to both of those questions is no. Why weaken our batting when we couldn't make runs on the Adelaide road. Why does Hughes get picked when he is terriably out of form, I thought you had to earn the right to wear the baggy green. Blame our bowlers all you want but until the batsman and the selectors get it right its going to be a long road to victory.
