The redbacks fielding was poor. Probably 6 or 7 chances went begging. Thought we could of held them to 270-280. Warner dropped on 10 was regulation and he got them off to a flyer

It's amazing. Today's cricketers do more work than ever before on fielding drills, always out there an hour before the game, etc ... and yet they still drop catches they should be taking. I've always thought these exaggerated pre-match warm ups were unecessary and nothing has happened to make me change my mind.

True its the little things in the field that all add up. I thought we lost 20-30 runs through misfields and fielders not being alert. The bowlers also bowled poor lines early. As i said before 270-280 was par score and even though its a small ground if we had taken our chances we could of held them to that. Who is the fielding coach? Just asking because it seems to be a constant with us.

We should have one that game with it in our control for most of SA innings.

NSW did muff chances too; I don't think they were as costly in the end regarding runs scored by each batsman afterwards.

Hauritz dropped one, Clark dropped one, Nevill missed an easy stumping chance after a few that come to mind. Jaques also cost them two runs for a bit of lazy fielding on the boundary.

Christian is a freak!!!

I think he has just booked his seat on the plane to India for the world cup.

Should have booked himself a spot in the Aussie 1 day side this summer, if he doesnt make it into that after recent performances serious questions should be asked, that was some serious big hitting and clean hitting, been many years since i have seen someone continually clean big hit like that

phil jacques; position fielding at a fairly short third man late in the game, was basically the difference (imho) in the end had the ball not travelled directly at him, the boundary was there for sure.....however both sides could pick out different 'mistakes' throughout the day that could've made the difference....bring on the vics who we did beat last saturday week, so can we get 2 in a row against the big V ?

Yeah fairly risky field position, 1 metre either side and its 4.
Even last ball of innings only needed about another metre for a 4 to tie it
