What a lifeless game of cricket. It involved the jellybacks so thats about all you would expect.

A great week for the redbacks.

Here's hoping for a few more before the seasons over.

What a display from DC... I expect him in the WC squad... (not just of the back of this knock, but hell he can play)

If ferg could transfer his limited overs form into ss scores he would have been playing tests long ago. He has fantastic record in limited overs for sa and australia but 5 centuries in 41 digs at shield level is not enough. That has probably cost him a spot for ashes. No doubt he is good enough to rectify this anomally and see him as a long time player with australia

His record is not that good for the Redbacks either in ODD to be honest! Highest score of 101 and average of 28.93 before this dig! Not overly impressive for someone of his talent. Hopefully this kicks him into gear and he dominates for us from now onwards! Quality knock by him and DC

Redbacks aren't the greatest team going around ... but at least we don't have Cosgrove :)

Does anyone have a breakdown of stats for, say, his past couple of seasons as opposed to earlier on in his first class career? Would be interesting to see, as he has become more consistent with maturity (and will continue to do so) but his overall averages probably reflect his younger days quite a bit.

Fergs average is a reflection of the trouble he was having converting starts. He had lots of 40-60 scores with no biggies to offset the failures. The tide is starting to turn and he has now taken the responsibility and realised that he is the teams best bat and is now starting to convert.
Hi, My name is Ron 'Bluey' Dunn. Did you know I played in the 61 & 62 Tasman Premiership sides....
