5/256 f........g rain
DUCKWORTH LEWIS man of the match :?:
ORAM 60*[46] what a star allrounder, a champ
MCCULLUM 14*[17]
88 of 48 balls if ORAM stays in they can still win.

Remarkable what happens to teams when top orders try to play aggressively.

AU 5/343

NZ 5/335
McCULLUM 46*[35]
ORAM 101*[72]
AU WIN BY 8 RUNS

NZ made the 2nd highest score ever in Perth only prob was AU
made the highest score in Perth in the first innings.
ORAM made the fastest NZ century.
688 runs what a magnificent game even traditionists R/ROOSTER and AH would have drooled.

At last a top order took on the mighty AU attack and what an effort
McGRATH 1/72[10]
BRACKEN 0/77[10]
How often would that happen.
Every bowler clobbered in the game except
VETTORI 1/34[10] outstanding

Thats twice in 2 games that AU has just pipped NZ
As they get players back NZ have kept improving.

I think Vettori is the best spinner in world cricket now (Murali not included as he is a chucker).

When New Zealand get Bond and Styris back in, they will beat any side in the world on their day.

Vettori has been brilliant against Australia in ODI's for a while now. His Test average is 34, which has been fairly consistent since he debuted at 18 years old. His Test batting average is 25. A very good player. Not in the same class as Murali or MacGill IMO at Test level, but up there with Murali at ODI level.

He is a star. Such a clever bowler. His changes of pace and flight are just incredible. Subtle but very very effective. With Warne gone from International cricket he'd be a strong candidate for title of best spin bowler in the world.
