This is why limited over cricket is popular. People demand results, and by that I mean the public want to see one team win, and one team lose. Somebody has to win, whether they deserve to or not.

Limited over cricket is a joke, always has been, always will be. This is why Test Cricket is the ultimate sport. You have 5 days to forge a win, and if you are not able do it, you don't win. Suits me more than artificially manufactured results like we see in the 50 over game.

Are you guys for real
Before o/d games we could see tests + maybe a session of sheffield shield
cricket on TV.
You could go weeks without seeing anything on TV.
Players were playing for scab labour.
Now the players are rightly rewarded for thier exquiite talents these days.
And we get to see cricket and get entertained more often.

Test cricket is the ultimate no arguments there.
But its also nice to see pyjama and bash cricket.
Reality TV for me, not that Big Brother and South Park crap being shown.

AH + RR do you guys watch 20/20 or 50/50 cricket?

Mal .... YOU are the one whingeing about the stupidity of the one day game, we are just backing you up.

As for "watching" one day cricket. no I don't "Watch" it, because there's nothing to watch. Limited field placements, limited overs, not a lot going on, camouflaged by coloured clothing and white balls to create the illusion something is actually happening.

I have it on the TV from time to time, I take an academic interest in the score, but pay little attention to it.

No, I saw it. Just don't value it as highly as a Test wicket.

Good to see Healy miss the point of that delivery entirely. Lee threw it deliberately wide because he knew Loye would have a go at it. Healy said it was a wide and no need for Loye to play a shot, but no way was Loye ever going to let that ball go.

Don't watch 20/20 at all. I have no interest in watching bowlers crucified by modified rules and basically given no chance to succeed.

I do watch 50 over cricket but it frustrates me. So very predictable.

I think Duckworth Lewis is usually as spot on as you can get.

The previous system was an absolute shocker.

The target in this game was pretty logical.

The idea in this situation is that WA knew how many overs they were going to get - Qld didn't; their innings was halted. Therefore it WA got the same overs as Qld they would have been able to time their innings better than Qld did.
