Massive crowd too, Districts were clinical. Tipping they'll play PAC

I watched the game last night
You'd be foolish to think Goody Saints would play like that 2 weeks in a row
Mind you: Dizzies made them play like that - as you said clinical - they were everywhere.

Gone from suspect to outright favourites in my book

Well deserved win by Nick Favoretto in the Keith Sims medal.

Would have given you a million to one on
Brad McKenzie not picking up a vote!

Yes

It would depend on where each club's home ground sits in the SANFL zone system.

But they're not affiliated as such - for example Brock Castree playing for Centrals but came from PAOC

Correct. Players are tied to zones in juniors by their residential address. But it would be up to each SANFL club to maintain relationships with clubs located within their zone.

Need to treat the Old Colls sides a bit different on that basis.

For simple reasons of the flow of juniors backwards and forwards PNU and TTG are going to develop a close relationship with Norwood, Glenunga with Sturt, Brighton with Glenelg, Goodwood with West etc.

Obviously it's never going to be perfect, but for example, if someone gives Garry McIntosh a call and he looks good at a couple of PNU trainings he tends to find his way out to Norwood pretty quickly.

Not like in the olden days, when we would have kids on the sturt list wanting to play with us but Sturt would make them go to Scotch OC

We have a lot of ex-boarders at North and Glenelg because of the zones

Also presumably a greater diversity of where kids who go to the school actually live as to their metropolitan zones.

On this my impression is that the SANFL Clubs seem far far less minded to encourage players to return to anything other than their junior clubs.

Think they've worked out the importance of the symbiotic relationship/risk of biting the hand that feeds.

It still goes on - they recommend that they go to a higher club

That's very good - begs the question how Trengove got to Sturt.
I think his parents have a house on Osmond Tce

I dont think Glenelg wanted him, and when you get to Under 15's level, if you want to move to another SANFL club, the 2 clubs can do a deal by a trade of players or pay a transfer fee
