Kyle Parks says NTFL IS div 2 amateur league standard. I say it’s better than div 1. Discuss.

From what blokes who have played D1 and NTFL tell me the best 5 players in each side are better on average than the best in D1 but the worst 5 players tend to be substantially worse.

There's certainly some lads playing up there who were middling players in our 18s that would back that up.

From my limited viewing it also seems to be a drastically different style of footy to the extent ROCS would smash St Mary's on a cold day at Campbelltown and vice versa in Darwin in December

Yes but could a div 7 side beat a ntfl reserves side...this is the true test

Guys I know who've gone up and played NTFL are of pretty good standard themselves, SFL and GSFL and Hills A graders, some with league/ reserve level SANFL experience. So would think its got to be somewhere around SAAFL Div 1 standard with the top NTFL sides. Agree its a different style, some bruise free footy going on most games.
