So what did we all learn from round 1 in the Adelaide Football League?
First thing I noticed was that morell was crying wolf.

Very little talk about Pultney and Adelaide Lutheran for mine in the Pre-season and both look like they'll have good years.

Must admit I did enjoy a couple of St Paul's players texting a friend of mine saying they were quite confident as "Mitchell Park got smacked by a C Grade side according to that morell bloke".

but as I said in the D7 thread, we were pretty much at full strength at home, well prepared, St Paul's had a few out and fluffed some early chances. We're a long, long way from the top end of our div still.

I suspected Lutheran to be come out firing, wouldn't have thought they'd ever been in div 7.

Pulteney 18 man zone both grades. Do we need this in Div6 and reserves footy?
Glad the real stuff is back.

2 things...
N Wright from Brahma is super quick
The scoreboard at Brahma ran out of fuel and went blank in the last quarter....lucky we were keeping our own score coz the scoreboard was hard to read even before it went blank

Yeah digital on a little trailer - was pretty good, it ran sponsors up on it during the breaks - was great to read from the opposite side of the ground where the spectators sat, little harder from the coaches box (had to send the runner out on the ground to read it), but it was good!

Heccies Oval - looked great, bowling green like.
Heccie Bacon & Egg sanga - Reheating a pre cooked fried egg is a big BBQ no no. However nice fresh bread and quality bacon were a winner. Points deduction for the reheated egg, 6/10.

first time using the genny so didn't know how long it would roll for
We are thinking of putting it next to the Club Rooms, so it would be more visible with the added bonus of being next to a power point
Zartan did you get to have a Fat Boy Special on Saturday?
