good job considering the end of div 8 and juggling those teams into the 6 C Grade comps.
I would have thought Pultney would be higher than 6, Smashed everyone bar Modbury last year and Smithfield (C4) would be the obvious swap with them as there is no way they are gunna have a team of sandbaggers like Pultney. And the D Grade comp gets called C5 whilst a C Grade comp gets C6, minor I know but makes sense.
But well done and happy with our draw and plenty of triple headers..... =D>

Looks like you got half your suggestion up, Pulteney and Seaton have swapped in C6/C4

Once I finally got my head around the fact our D Grade will start a week earlier than our C grade and a vast majority of our games will be played together I was pretty impressed by the comps. As mentioned it would of been a nightmare to sort these competitions out but they seem to have done pretty well. . Being in a comp with local rivals such as TTG, Hope Valley and Golden Grove is always a benefit and can also be an incentive to entice some older players out.

looks like lockleys and smithies got the short straw..pulteney killed us last year and every other club has an A grade in div 4 or higher..quite a challenge for our lads..

That first week had me for a second there I thought that we were playing same time as the C grade. Its not too bad but i think we would have prefered to be in Div 7 - pretty big drop off now from D3R to C3 as opposed to D7. but it is what it is - we probably need to play in the 25 player a side comps based on good numbers anyway.

According to Headquarters over the last 3 years there have been more reports in U18's and C grade comp combined versus Div 1 - 7 combined....look out for a massive crackdown in this area

This doesn't surprise me one bit.

Putting to one side the Under 18s (largely fuelled by testosterone and coaches who can't see the wood from the trees) I'd be a bit surprised if there were more reports in C Grades than in A/B Grades purely because of a reluctance for club umpires to go through the process. What I would expect is due to the relative wild west of C Grades that when these reports lead to findings of guilt there are more extreme penalties.

I suspect the accurate statement is that there are far more weeks of suspension in the C Grade comps relative to the A/B Grade comps

Definitely more games, I thought the stat put up at the coaches forum last night said both but I may be wrong...it was a long night :D

i think what they are saying is that clubs doing triple headers are having a much better record at the tribunal because club officials are more prevalent at the games and can hose down spot fires quickly and more successfully than a c grade playing away solo with hardly any volunteers off the ground..hence the lowering of tribunal cases for clubs doing the triples..

Well 2015 certainly went against that trend...

D1 -D7 - 35 Reports, 31 Guilty, 114 Weeks suspended, average of 3.68 games per guilty.
D1R - D7R - 18 Reports, 15 Guilty, 40 Weeks suspended, average of 2.67
D8, 8R, C1-C4 - 8 Reports, 8 Guilty, 30 Weeks, ave 3.75
U18 - 14 Reports, 14 Guilty, 39 Weeks, ave 2.79 (excludes the 3 years given to the coach).

Seems my post may have upset the establishment!

What they meant was D1-D7, 35 reports from 65 teams = 0.54 reports per team.
U18, 14 reports from 18 teams = 0.78 reports per team.

I agree with them that that is a concerning number in the U18s, and the more the league pushes harder penalties for both players and clubs who pick these players, the better the league as a whole will be.

Cheers to the Portland C grade lads who had a beer in the club after the game yesterday. Tough season for Portland but they had enough for a side and put a few bucks over our bar which is very much appreciated.
