SANFL are taking over the administration of all the metropolitan junior leagues (NEMJFA, SWJFL, MWJFL) and will run them as one blanket competition with the same set of rules across the board...

Does it mean little Johnny from Rosewater has to travel to Golden Grove first thing Sunday morning?

I'm a tad weary given the SANFL will likely become AFL SA in the next decade and i remain far from convinced that the AFL has the grass root's level of the sport as its primary concern.

I also feel as NEMJFA's occasional spurning of the AFL has had generally sensible results

Not sure, you'd hope that wouldn't be the case!

SANFL are meeting with clubs from Metro South I believe to discuss the formats, rules etc. tonight.

SANFL/AFLSA - what difference does a name make.
AFL would have the AFL as it's main concern - surely everyone knows that.

My lad has a year of 16s left so will have little effect on me personally.

Very interesting, Having been involved in Junior Footy as a coach and administrator i can see some benefits in this, not withstanding the great job that the leagues currently play. A lot in there l like. Need to have a closer look before i comment more
