Lockleys have beaten Pooraka and Ingle Farm though who will be two of the bottom teams.

Guess we will know more after Saturday.

CBCOC are the team to beat... There team resemblance the one that won the premiership few years back. They may have lost on the weekend. They nearly won playing with 16! CBCOC, Lockley's are a lock for top 2, then Putney, Para Hills, Rosewater, Hectorville and Mobury will fight for the rest of the final positions!

Well Lockleys & CBC both lost so that throws a spanner in the works a bit! Heccies & Pulteney undefeated..

Ah 16 players that explains it! I thought it was a surprising result!

Apparently had a lot unavailable due to a festival on the weekend. In CBCOC best 25, nearly half of them should be playing B's and A's!!!

Umm so why aren't they?
A Grade 0-3
B Grade 1-2

Wouldn't thought winning in those grades was more importantly than a C4 team

The response I got from some of the players was the classic response. It was we can't play higher due to work' or just want to play with mates!.

CBC have had a bit of form of having very strong reserves and/or c grades in recent years while their seniors have been getting relegated. Each their own I suppose

This must be pretty disheartening for genuine C graders (old, fat, slow, low skill level etc) that are trying to get a kick and have to come up against players that should be playing in higher grades.
I think it has a lot to do with the youth of today not wanting to do the hard work and challenge themselves, when they can tear it up in lower grades and get all the personal glory. I hope I never have to rely on these weak critters in a time of war!

I wasn't there, it's 3rd or 4th hand info - I don't know exact details but sounded messy.

Further to your statement about an Ingle Farm losing it makes me wonder what caused it? Obviously that's the end product but must be factors involved to cause an outburst?

I wasn't there either but nothing justifies his actions

It's very hard for clubs to get umpires so most will take anyone who is willing to take the money regardless of whether they can actually umpire or not.
Some clubs can't even manage to get a goal umpire and rely on their opponent to provide one and then complain when they think the call is against them.

Yes all very true, it's a tough situation I guess and volunteers are hard to come by so probably should rag on lower grade umpires too much (if at all), but still the standard of umpiring will dictate the standard of play, and you can't expect it to improve if the officiating doesn't.

One thing I suggest is stop paying umpires in these grades ridiculous amount to do the job!

Going around starting fights and kicking blokes in the head has nothing to do with the umpires mate, as an adult you know what is right or wrong in a physical sence. Having played against clubs with blatant cheats as umpires (and are notoriously known for it) i have never been involved in a game of footy for my club where we have gone the knuckle just because the umpire didn't have control of the game.

Big win from Pulteney - seem to be travelling very nicely!
