I fail to see the irony in that ;)

Cant wait to kick up the similar stink/spray that I copped from a few Mawsons trainers because they had to walk 100m to our away change rooms.. Because you know, its the B grade coaches decision to have the facilities where they are

Ararat... minus 4 and sleet in 1998. Couldnt see the other side of the oval for the fog even with the lights on. VC did his knee on far side of oval. Had to play marco polo to find him  also umpired a netball game that day which was called off after quarter time as the court was ice and everyone kept slipping over.

True test for the traveling supporters tomorrow as well, Panthers will be there in numbers still for the long haul lockley's. Should be a great contest for top spot.

I finally ventured down to Rutland Ave today to take in my 1st Lockleys game of the year, the B's had their chances but credit to Smithfield who stuck to it and took the points today.

Lockleys A's had a very depleted squad (I heard Smithfield had quite a few out as well) but the fellas selected stuck to their task and ran out fairly comfortable winners, the margin should have been a lot wider but the Dees wasted a lot of opportunities in front of goal. If you'd asked me before the game, i'd have been happy to just get over the line, a 30 point win over a side that hasn't lost a game since Jesus was a boy is a great result.

The other thing I really noticed today was the number of former Lockleys juniors playing A grade today, I think I counted 10 that were within a year of my son's sides when he was there as well as a heap more in the B's, the C's are stacked full of them as well.

This would have to be one of the most unusual top 4's for a while, not often you'd see a side 8-3 in 3rd spot with a % below 50%

Wow. Close wins & big losses eh. Is it a final 4 or final 5 in Div 6. Fitzroy could get in with a negative win loss ratio.

After yesterday's results.. Is it possible for Brahma Lodge to do what was perceived impossible only a matter of days ago and pull off the impossible and sneak into the 5?

Play Fitzroy this week, and Ingle Farm with the bye, if the Lodge can win then it's game on!

Congrats to Zedman and the Lockleys lads yesterday being the first side to beat the rampaging Panthers since 2013. Was a great game to watch and no doubt Smithfield will learn from yesterday's loss and come back firing next week. The Lockleys lads were on top from the first bounce yesterday and maybe be the ones who now have the better of the Panthers. Only time will tell I suppose.

Something like 6 wins less than 20 points, with 2 losses over 50 points.. winning close games which is vital, lost 5 games less than 20 points last year and got relegated..

Cheers to the Central United FC for their hospitality after the games yesterday.. Inviting the Ressie lads in at halftime of the 1's and then shouting the senior side after a good tough game of footy..
