SAAFL Media

Is it too much to ask to have a decent write up/review of each weeks games?

The Bounce is terrible and gives less info than you can get from reading the previous weeks resuts.

Surely there is enough interest to justify something decent. If the league is worried about everyone going country for dollars then build the profile of the league so people want to play in it.

Pity the best comp outside SANFL has the worst media coverage.

surely phantom is the saviour of the bounce, his div 6 write ups would sell more copies than the sunday mail

Try typing in on google saafl footy budget, every round they do a write up of each individual game up to div 5 I think. Hope you like it better than the bounce.( i don't rate the bounce either) :D

did you have a look at the talking amateurs footy budget? We think it has been great out at tiger land, the new producers seem to care about the clubs, giving all the games a write up. Some company called ISP sports management, something to do with helping sporting clubs.

The one feature story the Budget has been doing each week has generally been quite impressive.

I know any media is good coverage but, Fair dinkum the round 1 of the budget is the most inaccurate information I've ever seen across most grades.

It would be as simple as having a look at this forum to correct many of the simple mistakes.

Mark Bayliss - the Autistic Encyclopedia of Amateur football stats. That man knows his football. I still bump into him at Gaza each pre-season. A very interesting man indeed.

Not sure they are both gone forever though.

No mate I am not hosting the radio show. Just a couple of guest spots throughout the year possibly. I'm playing this year in my Farnham farewell performance and have other work footy commitments on Saturday mornings.

I have no idea what it is called but it will be broken into 6 x 5-6 minute segments. One for each of the top 6 divisions. TBH I know very little about the show as I have been working 50 hour weeks and balancing various other commitments. The producer has also been real crook so I haven't heard too much.

The hosts are D'Arcy Evans who I really rate who hosted the WOWFM radio show last year. Paul Manuel the current coach of the Ingle Farm Doggies in Div 6 and Tommy Javor returning from a years media hiatus due to work commitments.

Between you, me and my mum its sure to get at least 3 hits a week on YouTube. :D

Will it be that good that I'll watch it that often?

I like the sound of the format of the show. I've missed watching a SAAFL show since Grassroots ended.
