State game??

Can anyone give me some insight as to why there is no open age team this year?
Can't say that there was a "lack of interest" from older players, as I remember the side last year didn't have too many at all that were under the age of 23. And a fair few that made the team of the year from the year before that were eligible to play, did play.

I was a bit surprised at this myself BOP as I know the likes of your good self and Grocke's x 2 don't mind a kick at Easter.
However I'm not sure that this year won't be completely 23's, I think there may be a couple of over -agers but in short, the reasoning behind is that Bobby asked to take charge of Easter so that the 23's get more than one run together.

Didn't see Johnny at training, not to say he's not playing though . We're training again Friday morning (yes, Friday morning) so I'll know then I guess.

When you say Westies everybody thinks of West Adelaide. Unless you are from England then its Boganville

When you're north of Grand Junction Road, Westies = Salisbury West.

Not sure how it can be referred to as a "state game". The so-called "state team" is only a rep side for the SAAFL, which only covers part of the Adelaide Metropolitan area, in no way representative of the entire state.
It is obscene that the state guernsey is disrespected in this manner.

I don't have an issue. It's the premier amateur competition in each state. Don't all states wear the state guernsey?
