Is there a cold weather clause?

Cold weather clause??? It's a winter sport FFS

As I was saying about common sense....

The kids are 4 and 5!!!! Kids are playing for the enjoyment - there are no official scores kept.

My son didn't enjoy himself in fact he says he doesn't want to play in those conditions any more.

We had a game called off in Canberra due to snow.

Sometimes common sense does need to prevail. It could've been dangerous it was that cold.

Why are 4 & 5 year olds playing? AFL Guidelines say no
We get in trouble if we play kids under the age of 6

I thought NEMJFA rules where that you had to be 5 years old before you could play.?

Dunno, I'm not on the board, nor an official. My lad turned 5 in May. All I know is it's U6's, so all I can say is that 4 and 5 yo's are definitely under 6.

Correct, a kid can't play until they turn 5.

Smithfield Under 18's forfeited last 2 games and coach suspended for 18 months for "bringing game into disrepute"? Three players suspended.......what happened? Are they gone for the season?

Not sure how that is going to help them rebuild, unless the plan is to force them to collapse.

Yes, they are gone for the season. In addition to the suspensions you noted, the A Grade were docked 8 points under the strict terms and conditions that are in place. Smithfield self regulated and withdraw their U18s .... I assume this was done to ensure they did not cause any more damage and jeopardise their A Grade's premiership chances. There was plenty on this topic in the Div 7 forum

From what I heard from the neutral observers that was the goal, they got the raw end of the stick during their games simply because of their postcode.

Well it was from both sides of the fence so I rolled with it and took it as legit.
