Some interesting facts about our Grand Finalists this week:

Scotch OC's last A grade flag was way back in 1997.

PNU are attempting their 3rd club flag in 9 years.

Plympton are attempting their 7th club flag in 6 years and are also a chance of winning their 2 highest division flags ever.

Brahma Lodge play in their 2nd successive GF after not winning one in their previous 15 years

Kenilworth are attempting their 4th flag in as many years after a 30 year drought.

Woody South are the only club in 2013 vying for back to back flags in both grades.

North Haven will be trying to win the clubs first flag since 1998

5 of CLG's 7 flags have been won by their A grade

Lockleys D6R side vying for their first flag in 27 years

Ingle Farm -From 2,5,0,3,3 and 5 wins in the last 6 years to a chance to win their third A grade flag and their first since 1994

Angle Vale are vying for their first flag since entering the competition in 2008

SMOSH - still a chance to win 3 flags in 2013

A 26th flag by their C1 team would put Walkerville in clear third of most club flags. (Adel Uni 77, Broadview 36)

Seaton's C3 team will be playing for just the clubs 3rd flag since 1991.

five clubs are playing for the chance for a flag, who also have the medallist and the leading goal kicker in 2013. (Athelstone C2, Fitzroy C3, Ingle Farm D7, Henley D7R and TTG 18's)*

* denotes the fact that the D1 and D2 count hasn't taken place yet

** If any of the above isn't correct and you can prove it, please let me know :D

Sorry TDK, I'm not sure what happened to your post

DId you want to put it up again?

I think it mentioned something about the Lodge in their successive grand finals?

True but their B grade didn't win a flag last year and aren't playing in a GF this year ;)

Yes but the above doesn't include any D1 or D2 content, therefore why they weren't counted, they're not there yet ! ;)

In Macca's 9 year's at PNU they've had 4 grand finals, a preliminary final and 2 relegations.

Safe to say they're usually eventful seasons!

Is also the first time PNU has had two senior sides in grand finals this millenium. (maybe getting overly technical as to when the millennium starts).

Pulteney's C grade are going for their First Flag since 1974 and to this point in time the only time the Club's third side has won any silverware.

Some more Red dog trivia (and some corrections to my info above)

since 2008 Plympton have had at least one side playing off in the GF. But with the 2 sides playing this week they have potential to win their 8th club flag.

08 - B's
09 - B's
10 - C's & B's
11 - A's
12 - C's
13 - A's and B's playing in GF this week.

They also actually won a D3R premiership in 2002, meaning that this won't be their highest premiership. Interestingly... Damian Minervini was the coach in that year too... The even funnier thing is that he kept WUB on the bench for the whole game (so I've been told ;) )
