looking forward to watching the Uni v Walkerville game under lights at Walkerville this Friday to kick the season off. Walkerville does have a good viewing verandah.

One of the best clubrooms/grandstands to watch footy from I reckon. But this is a biased opinion
Should be a great game too

Great grandstand and a small oval, plus the hill makes it probably the best amateur ground to watch footy.

I'd expect it to get a bit of a crowd with Uni's A and B grade not starting for another week.
And with both clubs having an influx at higher levels, I'm guessing some talent will be forced down.

Spot on finn, there should be some good talent in this C1 game. If anyone's keen to watch some classic grass roots footy then come down to Walkies on Friday night.

Also Walkies A's and B's don't start until the week after so should be a good vibe around the place. I reckon the grandstand might be at capacity!!!

Cheers to Walkerville for the game and post match sausages. Imagine their full forward will kick quite a few this year.

Cheers Finn. Pity the club rooms were booked, but it was good to have a full grand stand. The game was played well and you guys were just too good and will no doubt go deep into finals.

Great start by the Jets Boys, but this C1 gig won't be all plain sailing. Some very high quality outfits going around and we will be tested.
On another subject, how were the outfits at Jet Park on Satdee for ladies Day?

Not sure were the umpires that did the Unley v Walkies game but let me say they did a great job. They let the game run a fair bit which was good to play in. They had a couple of bad decisions but on general discussion was that they both did a really good job.
Good win by us as well, jump Unley into 3rd spot. And i see Salis Nth gave ROCS a belting today, bit of an upset there. This leaves ROCS 1 game ahead of us and Unley now

Walkies knocked off Goodies this morning by just under 2 gls to make the GF against ROCS next week. Goodies out in straight sets.

Looking at the C1 fixtures for next season it has all the same teams as this year. I thought the new C grade set up was suppose to be a relegation/promotion system.

It's not even a draft yet, team nominations for 2014 haven't closed yet

I only mention it as the Div 2 fixtures have the Div 3 promoted and Div 1 relegated teams, thought they would've done the same for C1 too.
