Was just listening to Cornesy and rowey talk about Fev and Aker playing country footy and was thinking about Ex-AFL players I've played against in the SAAFL.

From my time at Adel Luth and Unley in the last 10 years (so Div 4 and Div 5)...
I've played against -
Modra and Roo (PAOC) this was the best, even tho we got killed! Childhood heroes!!
Perrie (Pult)
Flash Francis (SW)
Donald Dickie (Smithfield)
... might be a couple of others but can't think at the moment.

I tagged Elijah Ware put of a game when he played for Reynella...pretty proud of myself til I found out he was out on the piss the night before and found asleep at the wheel at the lights...ill still claim it though

Troy and Shane Bond both played at North Pines one year. Although from memory Shane only played the one game but Troy was a regular feature most weeks.

Stood Jordan Russell from Carlton in a trial once. Mind you I was his coach and very grey at the time. He did kick 6 on me from the square.

Andrew Jarman when he was at Gaza, tore us (Edwardstown) a new one in a GF one year.
Shane(?) Bond when he was at Callington.

played against alot back home but the best for an old man was matty scarletts dad,ex geelong.he played for geelong west in the vfa and was as tough as nails
also played with and against the great mumbler,mick martin,who was one of the best junior forwards i ever had the privledge to play on.he was all discipline.didnt matter how many times i smacked him in the back of the head,he would just keep kicking goals.lucky we become good friends because he was brutal after a few

you think its hard understanding him normally,wait till his had a couple

Perrie for Pulteney, possibly Bassett also as he played a few games for pulteney that season, although i cant quite recall.

not ex afl player, but playing against darren boog lehmann was the best thing ever.... we flogged them but he still was their best player. legend!!!

The hound didn't play against us - he played his mandatory 5 games and then spat the dummy when he got dropped from for the GF.
