Injuries this round

Postby Footy Chick » Sun May 27, 2012 1:33 pm

Is it just me, or were there a heap of nasty injuries this round? and I dont mean your average hamstring....

We had a guy break his ankle at North Haven by sliding into the clubrooms, could well have gone straight through the window. Thanks to the Haven officials who were very accommodating. They were just as annoyed as we were as theyve been lobbying to the council for years to have a fence or barracade put up to no avail.

A Scotch player also had his jaw broken and I've heard about a couple of other serious injuries too..

Injury that shouldn't have happened. Mind you only his self to blame. Trying to make contact with a player after the ball was long gone. Same player that was giving haven players kidney punches behind the play only 5 mins earlier.

Shitehouse comment Wiggum - you cant say he only had himself to blame at all.

Perhaps we could say the football club was to blame for not providing a safe playing environment - care to push that argument? :?

As for the other stuff, you must have had him mistaken for someone else - he's just a kid - and he's no thug

Now..back on topic...

Oval must be to close to the club because a North Haven player went crashing into the cement/club as well in the "b" grade.

Ah wondered what happened to him, poor bloke, I wish him a speedy recovery. That looked very nasty and would of f**king hurt for sure. I've seen a few minor ones like that but that is the worst I've seen.

5 metres of grass then about 3-4 metres of concrete. He got on to the concrete and slid on his sprigs.

I've seen plenty of coaches boxes that are made of brick that are pretty dangerous thats only a metre or 2 fron the boundary line..surely that is just as bad aswell !!!

Heard a Hamstring or Adductor muscle pop yesterday (possibly even off the bone) at the Pulteney/Unley game wasn't the only one to hear it either :?

I was only telling Mr Beefy last night how one of his players tried to demolish his coaches box with my head.
Fortunately, the bricks had salt damp

In just my side over the last three weeks we've had an acl, two lots of broken ribs, one collarbone broken in three places and detached ligaments and tendons in a foot. No wonder no-one wants to play...
