The Club has turned it into a past players day and invites all past players, officials and supporters to join the celebration.

Folowing the Match, there will be a sportsmans night in the Club with auctions and Magic will be the Guest Speaker.

Damn, thought Elizabeth had lined him up for a game ;)

Good on him for having a kick with those scumbags though. Good that he respects his roots.
A champion bloke.

Scumbags?
Name me a player who has played 300 AFL games, kicked 521 goals and come from your club?

Did you not read the where I wrapped him up?
BTW, Mickey O did play at MY club initially ;)

Also, MY club has produced a Brownlow Medallist and a few other players of note.

The Scumbag bit was a joke, as MY club once had a very strong rivalry with Salisbury North.

So ease up, Sprigger. Put the guns away.

Don't know Dogwatcher but from a previous post would be guessing Elizabeth. Thought it was pretty clear.

Settle down ITB ffs. Dogwatcher made a comment in jest, and said that he thought it was admirable that O'loughlin was coming back to play for you guys...

Plus, Salisbury North ARE scumbags!

So are Elizabeth.

But Mick's a great fella and good on him for doing this, I know Salisbury enjoyed and benefitted from Stewart Dew returning after retirement.

Sorry, ITB I've hijacked this thread with this malarkey.
Again, I think it's fantastic that Mickey O is having a crack with the Hawks.
He's a champion bloke who has always held his head high.

To clear up my initial post, which was in jest:

Mickey O played under nines and possibly under 10s at Elizabeth before transferring to North. As a kid, I remember that there was a small amount of disappointment at the club that circumstances had taken him to Salisbury North, as even then it was obvious he was a special talent.
So, there are many of us at the EFC who have watched his career with interest and enjoyed his success, as a good bloke who has achieved significantly.
The comment about Scumbags was also in jest as the two clubs used to have a very strong rivalry, in fact the last two grand finals played between the clubs were won by Elizabeth. That fierce rivalry extended to junior level but sadly is a thing of past as circumstances have seen our clubs take different paths. I figured any North supporter with a knowledge of the history of the club would recognise my comments for what they were, a joke.
And, no matter what, no matter how far behind you guys in the divisions we are, Salisbury North will always be Scumbags to me.

Again, I apologise for taking this thread off track.

Yeah we got a Brownlow medalist who was also a Magarey medallist, 4 premiership medals, 5 time All Australian rover and still kicked 230odd goals in 250+ games. Think ol Micky O got trumped ;)

Oh we also hav another Magarey medallist with a shit load of Sanfl cups under his belt. P Thomas

Oh oh may be disputed but we also bled maybe one of the ugliest AFL footballers... Steven Schwerdt 3:-O

We go alright down at Argana Park. If we sold our soul for pokies all those years ago we'd be right up there against u guys every week too ;)

Good on him giving something back to the club. But is there any point him having one game in the A's or is he going to play more?

It's two divisions and nothing to do with location or football standard.

Do you not understand local rivalry? It's a fun thing, don't get upset.
