Also in Div 8 and Div 8R... Hope Valley (Div 5) and Unley (Div 4) surely their C and D grades will struggle to compete with Broadview, Flinders Park, Gepps Cross, PAC etc...

Theres like 8 newly created teams, so nearly 200 extra players required?

Why the hell are North Haven C's above the C-Grade teams from clubs like Walkerville, Portland, Eastern Park, Port Districts etc?!

If we don't quite get the numbers up for a D grade next year, I dread to think where we'll end up, seeing we played off with North Haven in the GF... :-k

Yeah, I'm sure you would lie to continure beating up on teams that struggle. If you look at the teams in the lower divisions, they hardly won a game last year or are new. As has been previously mentioned, it will take a couple of years to level itself out.

From what i can gather its based upon the past 3-4 years? Then placed in the relevant grades form there. I think its part of the promotion relegation system? I agree some teams cant be where they are paced at the moment. I think it highlights how the set up will be but again some sides need to be placed in different divs. North Haven in C1 is a bit of a stretch. Remember that it is a draft and will be discussed further in Feb. I agree with it in principle but some teams need to be moved around.

Agree completely Beef. This will give those sides that dominate a opportunity to come up against sides of the same calibre. Than those that get belted every week i.e. Para Hills this year got smacked by us by 32 goals one week then again the next. They didnt have a great year along with other teams (mind you our C grade had very average results over the past 3 years and only came good this year to finish 4th). This makes it so hard to get players to commit to coming to a game at any stage let alone when you know your gonna get a set of towles done on you and not even get passed the centre square on a Saturday. It will take time to level out but we need to remember this is how it used to be before it was changed to the current structure.

As i said it s based upon the last 3-4 years and how those sides have faired. It makes the divisions more balanced with more evenly placed or comparative sides. I think they are moving away form the fact that for example our club finished in the top 2 go up a div and our C grade go up also (we all know this). A few years back this happened going form Divs 4 to 3. Being honest our C grade side was not ready for the jump. Most of the time we struggle to get a side on the park let alone be competative. I think you can nominate to stay or go? Besides that we were nto ready in my oppinion. Like most clubs that have strong a and b grade sides but struggle with C grade. This should promote equality but again it needs further debate on who goes into what division. Personally im happy to not come up against Flinders Park ;) they just had their way with everyone this year like they have the past 3 years.

North Haven C Grade have made the finals once in 10 years I reckon and will get destroyed in C1

We are in the same boat as Hope Valley in terms of a D Grade and are very interested in what the league gets back to us with in regards to our options

Nah, we'd much rather be the ones struggling
Only 3 sides struggled in C5 last year and the top 5 wasn't decided until Rd 18. It was a pretty even comp overall

So you think that because we won a grand final we should jump from C5 to C1 and play against Div 1 and Div 2 clubs?? I don't disagree with struggling sides or new sides being bunched together. But who's to say one of those sides won't have a really good team next year and dominate? Who's to say we won't have an ordinary side next year and get flogged every week?

I think promotion/relegation of C grade sides has some merit, but surely each division should start the same or at least similar to what they did in 2011 and go from there? The division of each club's A grade should also be a deciding factor, not the C grade ladder position from the previous season ...
