Grand Final Prices

Postby Shirtfront » Fri Sep 09, 2011 10:41 am

$15 to enter. Guessing a large portion of people, whether they be club people or interested footy followers, will be fence hopping, not attending, going to the Div 1 Pre Lim or going to SANFL matches (which are cheaper!!!!)

I understand the need for a charge, SAAFL need the money for the clubs or whatever, but $15????

It's unfortunate that the event of a Grand Final is seen purely as a revenue raiser, from exorbitant gate fees to banning the age-old tradition of bringing the esky to local footy.

I'll be at Coopers Stadium on Coopers Hill drinking pints of Coopers if anyone wants to come and say hello and reminisce about the good days of amateur footy

The players don't, it keeps the trouble makers out aswell, it's easy for a bunch of young lads to rock up at a metropolitan game for something to do, get on the piss and make a nuisance of themselves.

The players do pay. At least in our club anyway.

Country players/supporters pay $10 or $15 every week? I paid $2 at Kadina earlier this year, big difference.

I'll be off to Centrals, instead of Campbelltown.

Used to be $6 per adult each week, including players. Not sure how much it is now.

I stand corrected then in the APFL, $6 entry fee as per Droppies post.

Yes, that's correct.

A once off that is going to cost the host club, in my case, at least $50 over their bar (spent $100 at the last Div 4 GF I attended). The club people who go every week will still go, they're just doing themselves in when it comes to those who want to go but won't really care if they miss it.

Piss off Myrtle.

Plus I just got invited to the Presidents lunch at Centrals tomorrow - free food and beer then a footy match I paid to get into with a season pass back in January. No chance the ammo's this week!

Dont the GF's usually cooincide with the first week of the SANFL finals? And hence dont clash as they are on Sunday.

Smac has a good point, as I know a few people going to the SANFL, where they get in with their season pass, rather than pay to go watch an Ammo final.
