The AMAZING people at the Amateur 'FOOTY BUDGET' have once again been kind enough to give Female Footy the chance to sell copies of the 'Footy Budget' at the SAAFL Finals this year. :D This week will be the first week, continuing on until the very last week of the 2011 Finals Series

All Money raised from Sales and Donations will be going towards the SA U18 Youth Girls State Team. The Team is competing in the 2011 AFL National U18 Youth Girls Championships on the Gold Coast from the 19th - 25th of September.

The State Girls, and other helpers will be out selling the budgets at each Finals Ground. Many of the girls from last years team will be helping, so you could end up talking to an Inaugural U18 'All Australian' Player 8) If your club has any volunteers who would also like to help sell the budgets we would be VERY grateful :ymdaydream:

Peter Cates and I will also be out and about selling budgets, so please come and say Hi, and let us know your suggestions on the Female side of our great game. We would love to hear your thoughts.

Please give generously... The 'Footy Budget' is only $3, and has all you need to know regarding the SAAFL Finals each week.

Female Footy AND the 'Footy Budget'... GET ON IT :d

Has he pressed spell check before sending it to the press. Hope not, given the shallow content of the rest of the rag "spot the mistake" is the only thing keeping me going back to it.

Well, after week one of selling budgets I'm definitely keen for round two.

This week was the first time that most of these girls has ever had to do something like this, so there was a lot of confusion from their part. Please remember that the State Representatives are U18, so please be nice :-) lol

As for my experience… Kenilworth FC; The man on the gate is a dead set legend, and possibly one of the greatest volunteers going around…. Okay, so slight exaggeration, but he was a HUGE help at the Div 4 finals. I was there with the Open Age State Captain/ All Australian, Courtney Cramey; and we had sold out just after the start of the second quarter… of the B GRADE :-) so we even had time to kick my pink footy at half time :-bd

A quick overview of what I have heard from the other grounds, please correct me if you think/ saw differently;

- Nancy Tidswell was high on life at Klemzig selling budgets for $2 before being corrected by one of the customers, haha. So a massive thank you to the many who gave donations in the tin as well as buying budgets.

- Peter Cates had a hard time trying to sell budgets at the Div 7 finals at SH Middle School. I also apologise to anyone who witnessed the poor behaviour of the two State Representatives… long story, but it will be sorted I assure you

- Flinders Park was great I have been told. Team Manager, Julianne was out with a couple of the girls, and she said the people out there were great.

As for the other grounds I have heard a general comment that the crowds were very supportive, and lots of donations were made. Thank you to all who gave generously on the day, and to those who are really supportive of Female Football in general.

As for the budgets, they will be on sale again at the GRAND FINALS this week.
Good luck to all playing/ involved in the Grand Finals… especially Salisbury 8) hehe

Thank you to everyone who has supported us so far by buying a budget.

This is the final week where the budgets willl be on sale... you know you want one.. or two 8)
The team will be out in force again this week at Thebby. Please buy a budget/ donate generously.

The girls leave the next day (Sunday) so it will be great to get some last minute encouragement too.

Also, please check out the green piece of paper in the budgets too... it took me alot longer than it should've to print them, lol

I look forward to hopefully hearing good things from you all at the game on Saturday
:d

WOW... SAAFL season is officially over :(

but, on a good note... You guys are AMAZING!

Although there were only three of us available to sell on Saturday, we still managed to sell every single budget!!! (even with me spending time selling tickets to the game due to the massive line up, lol)

My left arm was struggling for the majority of Saturday night after carrying the box around Thebby oval in our last selling attempt... however it was well worth it! Thanks to all those who put up with us annoying them and bought a budget :d I also had alot of offers for my foam footy, so it seems i may need to start selling them next year too

On behalf of the SANFL Inclusive Department, the SAWFL, and the U18 Youth Girls State Team; i would like to say a massive THANK YOU to everyone who has supported us by buying a budget, or donating over the last couple of weeks. We really do appreciate your help!

On that note, none of this would be possible without the help of Luke Hosie and the team at the 'Footy Budget'. Without their help the State Team would've struggled to make the championships. Thanks HEAPS to everyone involved in making such a great publication for our local footy teams, and for allowing us to sell them :D

You would have seen a very excited group of girls... they weren't playing until Wednesday so they would've been in holiday mode, haha.

I just updated scores in the 'Female Footy' section... we lost to Victoria by only 11 points! A new record for all teams in all National Carnivals i might add 8)

Today we played Victoria Development... and WON!!!!!!!!! :d
