Changes at the SAAFL

Postby Footy Chick » Wed Jul 13, 2011 1:26 pm

Ok -I guess we can't hold off on this any longer now that it has appeared in the paper.

Mark Shadiac is no longer the CEO of the SAAFL.

As the paper says, no other details have been given- and an offical media statement from the SAAFL will be released later today.

I will tell you right now the following:

NO speculation will be entered into from any member of this site.

NO bad mouthing of the former CEO will be tolerated from any member of this site.

There are many people scouring this forum as we speak, both mods and "outside parties"

this only leaves us with discussing the facts - and because we have no facts, there's not much to discuss.

If you want to have a crack, how about you ring the people directly involved - and not hide behind a keyboard on here and get SA Footy sued because of your own stupidity.

My banstick is ready and raring to be waved and one person has already suffered (not Bandar ) - and my wrath is far scarier than that of any one else watching on here, so be warned.

Talk away ;)

Not having a crack, but what happens from here i understand it says that the someone will be there in the interem. Does it then go to what the clubs do with an AGM or meeting to vote someone in? Is it only delegates that are permitted to attend or how does the process work? Can it work like the local council reps that, 4 or 5 people put a blurb on what they are about and what they could bring to the table (league) and then all the clubs vote? Never heard of this happening before.

Grant Goodall has been appointed. More details to come.

From what I know, it's the boards decision but I'm not certain on that.

Let that be a lesson to you Sturt. You don't beat Glenelg 3 times in a row in Grand Finals and get away with it.

A disgraceful $10 charge to spectators at the U/18s Grand Finals Thebby Oval.
What made it worse was the players that put on the show had to pay.
I was told your club will reimburse you, p!ss off the club shouldn't have to pay for its players to play a grand final.
What are they going to charge for the A1's etc? $15-$20 i suppose.
Sounds like the SAAFL are concerned about paying out a certain person!

How's this weather 'ey ??!!! *insert chirping crickets*
I love grapes. With grapes, you always get another chance. You know, if you have a crappy apple or a peach, you’re stuck with that crappy piece of fruit. If you have a crappy grape, no problem-just move on to the next. ‘Grapes: The Fruit of Hope.

Div1 & Div 2 GFs were $15 last year which
killed any chance of getting neutral supporters or
people with a casual interest. Not their finest moment.

This was approved by most clubs - you should talk to your delegates.
