So what did other clubs do tonight leading up to the weekend off?
Have a night off?
Did you train? If yes, were numbers down compared to normal?
We had a bit of dinner and bonding session at one of our much appreciated sponsors venues. Was a good night. I know our U/18 lads were hard at it on the track though...

We trained, which I thought was the right thing to do but I reckon most of our guys thought we had the night off and also the week off, only had 15-20 there tonight and we did a RPM session at the gym last night where we had only had 12 attend. They are shocking numbers, hopefully we can regroup and everyone gets out on the track on Tuesday to prepare for the second half of the season and hit it at full speed.

took the night off with the rest of the club
i'd imagine a few players went in to help the hospitality industry

we have several byes during the year and we normally follow a path of tuesday recovery session like normal and thursday off
believe, esp at our level that players and for that matter coaches spend enough time away from family and deserve a break from the club
mostly the players come back refreshed and ready to go

We probably had 40 or so blokes train thursday night, and we got pushed pretty hard. We had a pool session at the marion swimming center on tuesday night - to swim away any sore spots and try to keep the oval in alright knick through out the wet months.

Trained Tuesday night then gave the lads the full week off away from footy until next week, told them to spend it with their friends, girlfriends, family etc away from the game....No rest for the coaches however we had our mid season review last night and planned the 2nd half of the year.

Slow night Tuesday. Very bloody cold aswell seeing we were down the beach geting through soreness and 3km run. Thursday night was on the track. Numbers were low as some blokes had already left for thier holidays etc. I personally would have liked mor of my guys (C Grade) to have been there. With a tough 3-4 weeks ahead i would have preffered a good run on the track leading into next week.
