Gday all,

I just wanna know if you know of any players that have had their life bans lifted so they can play in the SAAFL again.

Cheers!

Anthony had tried every season since the introduction of the rule, he had a few games remaining when it came in. He was harshly given the life ban in the first place, he was mis-informed about the tribunal, he has been training and hoping with AVFC for the past few years.

I ask because (and I do not care if the idiots at SAAFL read this) because I have been knocked back once again. And without a reason. Are they allowed to do this? We had a meeting with them 4 or 5 weeks ago, went through the correct process, told them I was willing to pay the $1000 bond and got letters from the club the incident happened against saying they support my bid for re-entry. On the actual night of the hearing, once I had been called in to give my reasons on why I should be reregistered, Shadiac said to me to wait outside while the deliberate and I'd have my answer in 10 minutes, basically saying I'd be approved. Then Gino said no, they have to do it properly and I'd have to wait 1 week to find out the answer. Well, the weeks went by and finally last night my mother got a phonecall saying my bid had been thrown out. Not 1 reason was given.

My family and I have spent alot of money and hours doing everything by the book to give myself the best possible chance of rejoining my mates on the football field. This is another huge kick in the guts for me. If my family had the money, we'd be taking it higher.

And we didnt want this to end up like this, but we'll be exploring every avenue possible, whether it be today tonight, current affair or the ombudsman.

This is a total failure on behalf of the SAAFL. Its now beyond a joke.

i think it is a legitimate question... he started the forum on life bans.. if he wants sympathy or support i think its fair to know the incident... maybe he did something people don't think he needs a reprieve from... or possibly its something that didnt warrant a life ban and he could get alls support for a petition or something like that...

I find it funny to think he had been appealing this since he received the ban ,as far as i was aware there was no appeal process in place until a couple of months ago

I dont think it is up to some people behind the keyboard to judge weather he is guilty or not.

There's never any harm in asking the question.

Hang on, this is absolutely a valid question.

I'm not prepared to throw my support behind, or make a judgement on any of this until i am made aware of why the league has decided that this particular player should not be allowed onto the field in SAAFL.

If the question is not answered then unfortunately my opinon on this is that it is just another rant on safooty that has no substance or credibility.

I'm not here to make a judgement on your crime, but we've been asked by you (in a round about way) to make judgement on the SAAFL and to do that all the facts must be presented.

Ricky Buckfield from Eastern Park is having the exact same problem.
Keeps gettin palmed off by league when all he wants is a yes/no answer so he knows whether he can go back to his home club and play with his mates when they need him.

Maybe we should organise an e-petition from safooty members in support of #3s re acceptance into the league.
Someone provide Shadiacs email address and wel all pop off an email in support. Im keen

You lot are bloody stupid.

You seem to have forgotton that it was comments on here that pretty much screwed him last time and here you go again. Good mates you are :?

If anyone wants to know what happened, go and look at the previous thread it was all discussed in (no, I can't remember where it is, go and find it :? )

Don't make me lock this thread.

and before you all go yelling fun police, just think about the fact that any comments on this site made about the league can be seen as defamation (unless you can prove them) and be used in a court of law, not only against the poster but against the site as well.

This site will not be part of any such thing. By all means organise amongst yourselves, but don't put our name on it.
