How are the boys shaping up Marbles, looking good on the track and fighting fit coming towards te start of the season?

I must it was both interesting and great to see Shaun Hinsley come back to us with Damon McCulloch joining him. Both can play and will be real handy for us.

That is interesting, as McCulloch has been training with us. Hinsley never has been a fan of pre-season, or training in general.

Both would go very, very well in D5.

Interesting that you think losing Hinsley is no great loss. Would of thought any time you lose your leading goal kicker from the previous year it would be some sort of loss. You've now playing without your best 3 smalls from last year in Wilesy, Moody and Hinsley. Also without Wareing for the first half of the year.

Hinso is a loss, but at the end of the day, if you want to put your hand out and take payment, then you need to put in the hard yards - even moreso when we have 50 other blokes working their butts off on the track. Hinso isnt prepared to do that. If Haven are willing to offer him something (which obviously they are) then good on them, and him. I like Hinso, he is a great lad.

In all honesty, he could win the D5 medal and could very well be Haven's best player. Damon could kick 40-50 goals too in D5.

jsut on Mculloch - That'll be his third club in 3 years. jsut working his way about the peninsula.

And no problem with that if he's pulling his weight. Just need to make sure he starts to, and continues with to. Other blokes can get p!ssed off very quickly if he doesnt.

Hinsley is a massive lost to the side in my opinion. When on, he was one of the most dangerous and damaging players in our side. Could change a game in 5 minutes.
Its a shame he couldnt train all pre season/ or chose not to cause he could be a massive asset to Portlands team!

Good luck to him and Damon at Havens though. Disapointing to see them leave!

the 2 are good kids hinz and damo and Haven are very lucky to have the lads. Portland I think are a very united team and I think that is a big reason for their success over the last 3 years. I think the lads leavin will have an effect but no where near panic stations. I think Hinzo will be top 3 at the club, but I'd say demps still casts a pretty big shadow in the best player department, and possible big eagles. Good luck to the thundre this year!

I doubt that Portland will suffer up forward with the departure of an 'over rated' Hinsley, with the likes of Hodges,Carter,Brown and Ashley possibly joining the club, the more that depart chasing selfish money the better I say.
They just got my vote on the premiership poll.
