Pre Season 2011

When does everyones pre-season kick off? We start Thursday, it's come around very quickly.

Our pre season I feel is going to extremly beneficial for us as we continue to rebuild, I hope as many blokes can come out as possible, the more the better. Rolla has it all organised and ready too go and from what i've been told it's going to be a tad different from our previous ones. He wants to get away from the club and use the beach, which is easily accessible for us and use it as much as possible.

We've had heaps of blokes doing their on training during their time away from footy. I've been doing it myself and we've actually had alot of blokes, older and yonger fellas, coming down to the club on weeknights and doing a weights session, going for a run or just having a kick and a catch. It's been great to see that everyone wants to get, fitter, stronger and become better footballers. Therefore we as a team and club continue to improve and are better for it.

Has anyone on here been doing the same or have they just stopped completely after the 2010 season finished?

We start December the 14th for two weeks before a Christmas break.

I have started my own pre-season by simply attending the Gym as often as possible. I also know of alot of other players who have also been doing their own pre-season training.

We are in a similar position, trying to rebuild after a few poor years sliding down the division ladder. We are trying to get as many players out and about after a fairly decent year for Glenunga A grade in 2010, we are looking to build on that and hopefully this year both teams will taste some more success.

That's a Sunday, are they starting off like they did many moons ago, with a "prawn & porn" morning? Let me know, I'll bring a few mates along.

Good on ya mate, I've been doing the same, doing weights twice a week and then going for a run 1 or 2 times a week.

We've had around 15 blokes coming down to the club on different nights over the past 2 months and doing a weights session. It's good that guys are taking the opportunity to get themselves fitter and stronger and not just completly fall off the horse, hit the piss and not do anything until pre-season starts.

Exactly right mate, it's all about improving and getting better as an individual, so the team can benefit and the more blokes taking that opportunity to get fitter and stronger the better we'll be for it in the long run.

i expext a huge improvment from NH next year but mainly due to the grade drop rather starting pre-season early. yes it is stupidly early but they will be my flag pick when the polls come up!

Looks like pre-season will be starting late for our little friend Johnny Boxer - his jaw is wired at the moment after breaking it while stuffing around with a mate

We start ours this Wednesday. Earlier than we have in previous years. I guess as we have a new senior coach and the stronmg finish to the year we had you need to keep that momentum going. Plus the fact there is a new Hack C grade coach ;) and the magoo's should have a better season than they hae over the last few. They (the team) and the coach deserve some sort of positive result in 2011 so the whole club needs to pull itself into line for next year.

Nothing wrong with keeping the momentum going. Holidays for students and the like hamper slightly but should have good numbers. The guys already at the club and the new ones have the place going in a positive direction but by no means certanties as some have put for us in 2011. Getting too far ahead of themselves if they are calling flags and so on at this time of year.
