Hows the points system going to affect everyone?

Anyone recruited to your club for last season (2010) will still be worth points, although one less because they've played a year. Anyone before that worth 0.

And from now on, five points from AFL, four points from SANFL, three points from reserves or better country leagues, and two points from minor coutry leagues.

Official vote at the AGM but it was basically accepted in theory.

It depends on where you sit with carry over points and the type of player you are looking to recruit.

Players from Tier 2 comps are worth 2

It is proposed that players within the SAAFL will be worth 1.

Depending on your carry over points it is possible to recruit 7 or 8 or more the difference is the quality of those recruits.

say they have 5points allocated already. if they recruit 7 guys (a-graders) from Fitzroy that’s only 7 points taking them too 12points then next year all those guys are worth 0!!

Yeah it's the one of the things in it I'm not so sure about. Still makes it possible to raid a club within SAAFL.
