Peoples thoughts what clubs will improve, what clubs wont make the grade (promoted and relegated sides) and what clubs are on a downward spiral?

I'll start the ball rolling with an obvious one, Para Hills to improve and make finals in 2011, Golden Grove and Pooraka to be competitive but miss finals

Ingle Farm i think can finally begin the tough road back and would expect them to be massive improvers next year.
Central United will fall off the pace again.

I think both West Crydon and Lockleys will do very well in Div 5 if they can keep most of their current squads, WC could even do a Hectorville and be in Div 4 by 2012

Brahama Lodge to improve and make the GF.
Para Hills to play finals.
Elizabeth to struggle in Div 4.

If this points system rule is enforced next year there could be numerous imposters next year. Hypothetically their reserves sides could be the big improvers!! ;)

Let's hope, if the points system is introduced, the rewards go to those football clubs who have worked hard
and maintained a strong junior programme.

Cannot be enforced, clubs voted for a 3 year trial period to ascertain the merits of this system and it would need a miracle for it to get through before the end of that 3 years.
Season 2010 was only the first year of the 3 year trial and can't see clubs backing down on it beforehand.

Forget the cynical side of me BUT what the Delegates and Clubs want will have very little to do with it i fear. Don't think I have to spell it out either. Why demand the points this year of Players if there was no enforcement. We were told it was a "Trial Period Exercise" as I said forget the cynical side for thinking it will happen soooner than later, no matter what the Clubs or Delegates want

IMO P.A.O.C will make a big impact in Div 2 same with Hectorville in Div 4. I think Portland can have another good year and get promoted up to Div 2. I also think that Kilburn will continue to slide down the divisions.

Make no mistake Aceman, the points system will be in.

B130, I haven't really looked into it closely, but where does that put Uni, given there is no junior structure.

So you are saying Blacks that a large number of clubs are going to vote to have it enforced in 2011, I find that very hard to believe

I'm not exactly sure BF but given the majority of our club is made up of students, that when they actually either come to Adelaide via country or interstate to study are generally only kids anyway and it is extremely unlikely they would've played enough games in their club's seniors the year before as a 17 y/o to actually be regarded as a player with points.. For eg & hypothetically, if a kid from Pooraka High who played U/17's at Pooraka fc and 2 or 3 A grade games in 2010 and ends up at Adelaide Uni in 2011 and decides he wants to play with his classmates at AUFC, he actually won't attract any points. The points schedule doesn't extend to juniors.

From what I understand even this year after a pretty heavy 2009/10 recruiting campaign with the likes of Walsh & 2 x McEntees plus a couple of other senior types, I think we hovered "around" the 15 point mark.

I'd be interested to know though what it's going to mean to the Henleys & Goodwoods of this world who a great majority of their recruits/players come with 3 or 4 points because of league experience.

What I'm saying Locky is the powers that be will sell this to the clubs in a way that would have it seem a better option than the alternative should the clubs continue to abstain from adopting the points system.

Much in the same way your junior comps have been influenced ;) ;) ;)

Seems like another case of dropping the strides and then bending over again. Surely no one could talk the Clubs around after the last count where there was a huge NO sent back to the Executive

pooraka to take div 3 by storm

Div 6 & 6R - Adelaide Uni to do well in Div 6 - Top 4 is my guess

Div 7 - Glenunga and Mawson Lakes to finish top 2 with TTG being number 3.
Div 7R - TTG to finish top 2. Glenunga to finish top 5.
