One would have thought it would make more sense to have the C6/C3 matches at Gepps Cross and the C5 game at St Mary's? And oddly, the C1 GF played before the C2?

Trying to get the GF closer to home XR?? It's a bit tough on SMOSH in C6 though, especially with them being the higher ranked side.

Grand Finals are supposed to be NEUTRAL and not favour any side - as someone else said - it's more of a pain for travelling supporters more than anything.

Yeah, it's a bloody long drive.
Northern, Central and Western sides heading South to play, then Central and Southern sides playing out North.........

Blame PAOC for the lower grade schemozzle- lord, knows I do - with them playing a southern and northern side in c3 & c6 and the saafl liking to give clubs the opportunity to play multiple finals at the same venue. Added to this was the four sided c4 finals series that also threw another spanner into the works.
It seems odd that c1 is before c2 but probably based on the geographical proximity of salisbury north and gepps to hope valley rather than flinders park/uni. Or perhaps the saafl just wanted to give me a sleep-in.

Completely agree. Whatever genius decided to change all the venues I cannot believe it. Why would you not have the best grounds available offered to the higher divisions. Who gives a shit if you have to drive an extra 10 minutes to a ground.
So now div 4 and div 5 play at plain old grounds (no offence to Salisbury or Kilburn) and Div 6 plays at Richmond.
As long as I can remember it has been the best grounds are offered to the highest divisions. Why change it now???

Richmond is a bog. i'd happily play at Kilburn (have never played at salisbury). we were given the option (as the higher div) im fairly sure of alberton and richmond and chose alberton for obvious reasons. they should never have released the draft if there was the chance of so many games being moved. was only an extra 24hr wait anyway.

salisbury is a great oval. excellent surface, changerooms and atmosphere. we (heccies) were more than happy to play our gf there last yr even though it was right nxt to brahma

Agreed HB3, have played 2 GF's at salisbury and love the oval and facilities, its great for supporters also with the car parking available on that outer wing, and the grandstand for supporters who like the shade....

Salisbury is the best football venue in the amatuer league, bar none.
Parking goes three deep on the outer side with plenty of room (which is the biggest advantage over Kilburn) along with a BBQ/bar caravan out there, plus the grandstand, good-sized changerooms with new hot water system, good-sized verandah outside the clubrooms, big BBQ & bar marquee between the two.
Couldn't think of a better place for it FF. But I do see your point about missing out on a league oval.

Yes very good for your club Pag. Will get a better crowd than Div 7. But i do agree it is a great ground to play on and to watch footy at. Think it will suit both sides as it is closer to home and a big oval like thier both used to. Bring it on, can't wait

have to agree. Salisbury is a good set up. But theres i guess that specialness of playing a GF at an SANFL oval then at Salisbury.
Kilburns a good venue for Div 5 very much central for both sides.

Maybe you'd like to go and have a look at Richmond - I'm sure the Div 6 sides would love to swap with you - I walked on it yesterday and it is an absolute bog through the middle. We were told of our change last night after the delegates meeting including that Richmond was dropped down the grades because of its condition.
So you've got a non-boggy oval within close proximity to both clubs. We'd prefer Campbelltown Magill for the 2 same reasons but have to take the second best oval to Thebarton which, this year, happens to be Alberton and not Richmond.
