I think I saw LTTF at Ridley Reserve on Saturday morning. I was going to go up and ask for an autograph but I was just too in awe of the great man.

Have just got back from "The Lodge" and Sheeds certainly didn't disappoint the crowd of 80 or so footy fans.

There were a few grumblings early on when the great man was late to turn up but these were soon silenced as he suddenly arrived and launched into a wide ranging spiel about Western Sydney, his travels, his playing days, the future of footy, the indigenous and other players he has coached, the AFL, where he reckons Gazza will be playing next year, fantasy footy teams with a twist, and, of course, his beloved Essendon.

The crowd were enthralled and hung on his every word throughout his monologue that must have been over an hour non-stop. After a short break there was an auction of a fantastic footy picture, some interesting questions from the crowd and more auctions of footy memorabilia with the proceeds all going to the club.

After the gig Sheeds stayed around signing books and other stuff and having his picture taken, and he was still doing this and chatting to people when I left.

Kevin Sheedy you are a legend and a rare creative force in our great game long may you be around to share your wit and wisdom! :prayer: :-bd

PS It was good to meet a few of the Brahma Lodge FC players including a few SAFOOTY posters.

not as bad as the question from some roll in asking where he rated angus monfries from some of the best that have played for essendon, sheedy told straight away that monfires will never be in that class

come on what has monfries done

Who was that dude? Worst question ever. Monfries would be fit to tie Luke Hodge's shoe laces. Should have been like.......Kevin, a man of such knowledge and insight, how come your Supercoach team is so rubbish? That would have been the best question of the night.

It was a great function, lots of fun, very interesting man with plenty of good stories to share.

Carn mate, I thought it was ok, the support staff list is huge, there are Defencive Coaches, Midfield Coaches, Forward coaches and in some cases' Assistant Coaches and Ruck Coaches. At what point does the Head Coach become accountable? I thought Choco could still motivate the players, yet the poor support staff around him, could not execute game plans, feesable structures or adapt quickly enough with ideas.

I appriciated Kevin's responce, A coach is only as good as his squad!

As for the Mofries question, Obviously a Walkerville wanker! I was surprised no one asked, Just why didn't Toby Stribbling make it?
