Poker seems to be pretty popular these days, what about running a poker night?

You can run into trouble with gambling if its not done right and we like to do things that involve the chicks aswell and not that many are interested

You should go to a poker tournament - plenty of women at them

You'll actually be surprised how many chicks like poker (yours truly) for example.
As long as you run it NPL style and adhere to strict rules it can be a fun night.
Or you have a games night in general, with cards, darts, board games, then it makes it more of a family night...

Seaton Ramblers have a $50 draw, twice a year. They aim to sell 500 tickets. You have 2 hours of beer and wine, and smorgasboard.
First prize is $6000, Second is $1500 etc.
Total prize money is just under $10,000
Always a good day, Messy - but good fun.

We had a Salisbury Idol, usually have a cocktail night as well where it's a bit nicer dress (usually means the girls like to come and put some money over the bar). Hire out some of those daquiri machines and have the jelly shots floating around, pretty good night bar-wise.
Salisbury do the same sort of thing as Seaton, $30 a ticket, usually last round of the year and 100 tickets get sold. All the tickets get put into a barrel, drawn one at a time, last one left standing wins it. Prizes for 100th (first drawn out), 75th, 5th, 25th, 3rd and 2nd as well.

Actually another variation on that is the "back to front draw" which was popular in the VIctorian country leagues.
500 tickets sell for $5 bucks each.
EVERY ticket is drawn. (so good to get everyone at the club on a Saturday night and you can have happy hour while the draw is running)
1st ticket out wins $25.
Every 25th ticket drawn wins $10
LAST ticket drawn wins $500...
