I reckon ill keep an eye of div 5 again this year. Some good teams are about.
Plympton and Smithfield would deserve the tag of early favourites.
Dont know heaps about the teams coming down but if last year is any indication, they have the potential to struggle.
Blackfriars should be in the calculations as well. Will very much depend on there recruiting. I would expect them to be looking for a strong defender to hold the likes of Geno and Smith and some more classy midfielders.
Their midfield was there strength when they knocked us off in 07. The loss of Hillman and the Rugari's saw them go backwards in this area last year. Milikan returning would also be nice for the hounds. Any word around what he may do this year?
I have the feeling that rosewater may flounder mid table but its all way to early to make any serious calls.
Fingers crossed for Zed and co as well. When can we expect official word on edwardstown?

it will be an even competition, hopefully we stay in the comp instead of getting relegated.

Zedman, what are your expectations of the 2 teams coming up from Div 6?
I know you watched a couple of the finals games, thought you might have the best idea of anyone.

Have to get used to clicking on "Div 5". Automatically went to Div 6 and couldn't work out why we weren't on the voting list!
And so it begins...
All new teams for us - except BOS and WOS. Looking forward to playing at different grounds and against different clubs. Some that a lot of our blokes have never played against before. Played Elizabeth, Rosie, Ingle Farm quite a few years ago but i'm sure they'd be quite different from then

i had wos at about 12/1..i like their toughness..and they have some height..hv were at 15/1 purely because wos beat them..rated moon highly..i would be very very surprised if both got into relegation trouble, i expect them to be midfield..but someone has to come 9th and 10th

zedman wrote:throwing around..none..well placed to a select few..then yeah..a bit, but nothing that fort knox has to worry about..the murphys dont leave much for anyone else LOL
well atm plympton would be faves at 25/10..smithies and bos equal on 4/1..dont think hv or will challenge yet but to early to know..cant see pulteney worrying anyone..rosies would have to improve with elizabeth to be in the finals
assuming kenilworth are in div 5..i think 20/1 is fair atm for the flag..but i know a few things about next year and our team that others dont yet
plympton 25/10
smithfield 4/1
bos 4/1
wos 12/1
rosewater 12/1
hope valley 15/1
elizabeth 15/1
kenilworth 20/1
ingle farm 25/1
pulteney 33/1
Here's your odds that you were talking about...

Hey zed, did you have us at 4's because we have finished 4th 4 years in a row, there's something about that number that I'm starting to hate.

was it an official dual coaching role or was gino the coach?

was a joint venture but both playing coaches and football manager was making the moves on the sidelines and not the coach-coaches. i could be wrong in there fight for next season hope i am but see what happens.
