No one cares about this Association games against the bloody Southern League.
Playing a sub standard league with an Under 23 side just to try and even the
sides out is the only reason it is done. And still they win by 12 goals or something.

SAAFL- no one cares about the little concept playing ordinary competitions.

Lets get back to playing our BEST SIDE against every other states BEST side.

You know why they stopped that. Because Victoria was beating us too often.
Dont make Victoria drop their standards lets lift ours. The execs at Tynte Street
think that we are all warm and cosy now that we have beaten a sub standard league.

Whoopie Fu¶%ing Do - We beat the Southern League. Oh well - gives them all a free
gig and free dinners and pat each other on the back for another year at Tynte Street

And another thing i forgot. This is not a STATE TEAM. Its the best or semi best Under 23
side that play in the Amateur League thats all. It is not a state team. The state team is
open age that plays against proper opposition. eg - other STATES. Thats why its State Football

Welcome aboard John Fisher, my sentiments exactly. There is another thread re: State open age V Under 23. Some good thoughts on that thread too. I really wich the SAAFL would think about giving the credibility back to State Footy and play the Open Age Team. But in saying that, why call it the open age team, call it the STATE TEAM.
