I'm not keen on playing them. Shouldn't they be in the NAFA. We'll have to charter a plane to play them

Yeah, it'd be a rumour. Amateur League wouldn't do it, no matter how much it's deserved.

Para Hills won't go up again, the jump from Div 4 to Div 3 is massive. And if they're in the NAFA, should we be playing in the Alice Springs league?

What club are you involved with Andy?

With the harsher suspensions for repeat offenders they might think this will solve the problem for them. Saves kicking out an entire club and undoubtabely people who don't deserve it. Having said that, saw their final this year against Walkerville. There were a few fat dickdead supporters looking for a sumo wrestle. Some of there female supporters found one but I was on the wrong side of the oval to get a good view. Would have been good Almost Footy Legends material.

I reckon para hills will go better than most people think as long as they pick up 4-5 good players,
heard kilburn are recruiting quite hard, a few barossa league boys possibly headin back? quite early any predictions top 5.
salisbury west will have a few out first few rounds but should still be up there.

hafey wrote:Why would any player with any talent want to play A3 at a club like Kilburn .

Hafey's signature is what I don't know about footy isn't worth knowing, here's a summary of the Ivan Silvy thread in the country section.

Hafey : Hear Silvy is pretty good how much does he get paid?

Someone else: $550 a game plus $150 a goal and he kicked 14 one game

Hafey: what position does he play?

Someone else: full back

Hafey: wow that's great money for a full back

Obviously it's not worth knowing that full backs don't get paid per goal and generally have never kicked 14 in a match.

Hafey, I'm glad you can have a go at a club that has dropped a div. Rest assured I wont be bagging Port if they go down. By then you would be at another club leaching off their success. I will be involved with a successful club and have the knowledge that I contributed and stuck through tough times. I'll give you a ring and tell you what it feels like. Other than gullibilty, have you got anything else to contribute?

Eastern Park should be as good if not better than last year.

We recruited fairly well for once! So were looking pretty good at the moment.

We're looking at having at least 4 new guys for season 2008. Two are actually returning to the club. We have lost a couple maybe 2?

I have heard the Kilburn are recruiting well, despite some losses.

They should bounce back up.

You're right mate we have lost a fair few but I've been told by people outside the club that the new guys we've got are pretty good. I've only met them once but seem like good blokes too. I've also heard heaps about he new coach and hope he lives up to the hype. Doesn't seem to rate farting around and wigged me out a bit when he first talked to us, but we probably need a good kick in the arse. The prevailing attitude over the last couple of years has probably been near enough is good enough. Stuff like people rocking up to training then knocking off early. Everyone has to cop the blame for it because it wasn't one person in particulars fault. He might be trying the shock that attitude out of the players who are staying on.
