I would have thought that was going to be a pretty even contest and was surprised that Para Hills flogged them.

Don't be surprised, just wait till Para Hills get their mittens on Salisbury again! I am sure they will be keen to send out a msg and let everyone know that the GF last year was a once off! They (PH vs Sal) had some great games last year but that 1 game just didn't do the rivalry justice at all. I think the "Hills" lads will be very keen to make amends on that!

Get their mittens on us?

Those boys wear mittens now?

Possibly, the cold weather is coming soon... /me rolls eyes

Let's stop blowing wind up eachother's proverbial. Who are everyone's tips to be relegated. At the moment I think it's harder than picking the top 5.

My guess is Woody Sth. and Salisbury, although SPOCs and Para Hills will be fighting to keep out of the bottom two as well.

Woody south and salisbury west. Salisbury to struggle aswell. Para hills, Iggies and SPOC to fight out for fifth.....Particularly the latter two.

so boozehound see u got in the best. no u have played in only one round but interesting to see how u rate div 3 compared to hills central? do u think that maybe playing in a better side down the hill makes u look better or would u say hills central is of better standard?

No Ron I didn't get in the best...I would say it helps to train. I would say it's a tough job as a forward at Bridgewater and I would say that the Hills Leagues best two side would be high div 2 low div 1 (played in both grades). I would say the middle lot would be no better than div 3 which I am playing now...and would say the bottom few would struggle in div 4.

I would say that a forward playing for Uraidla or Lofty should kick a bag almost every week considering the teams they play against....I would say that a forward playing for Bridgewater or other struggler will kick five on a great day..

however this is div 3 thread and not a hills thread so I'll leave it at....If you knew anything about footy you would know that a forwards job is much easier in a good side with good delivery...It's a shame I had to spell that out to you.

I hear Salisbury expect big things from Kevin Smyth this year....
I hear he shed the pounds over preseason and looks ready to kill the opposition

I think Michael Hewish will make a big impact coming back from a knee reco. He's tough and hard at it.

I have the feeling I may know Slipper...

Oh and Messiah, feel free to lighten up whenever you want champ. The GF loss still hurting a bit is it?

Kilburn boys have gone quiet on here! Time to get serious boys, who can possibly stop Kluzek and Fuller on the weekend. To be honest, Fuller does slut a lot of goals but is still difficult to stop.

Neither did I, great lad, seen him play in the 18's a couple of years back, wondered how he'd go in the seniors
