seaton v pooraka - Dont hear much about Pooraka but remember them being a competitive side a few years ago in division 4
flinders v mitcham - Flinders seem like the team to beat but the weekend will show us where they're really at
smosh v portland - Won't be much in this one just hoping for Portland to lose :D
para hills v golden grove - With PH losing a few key players Golden grove will want to make a quick impression in Div 4. Could go either way

Heard a little whisper that Sudjay Cook was having a run with Flinders Park C grade? Played a few games for the crows and maybe centrals back in the day. Can anyone confirm this?

Can't confirm or deny, but I know he played a bit at Norwood and alot at Glenelg and has been at Broadview of late

I wouldn't be surprised if Smosh gave Portland a bit of a touch up this week, not trying to stir the pot amongst the portland mob but I thought they looked pretty impressive on Saturday

Smosh are a impressive outfit and have worked hard to stay quiet over summer.

We wont be under estimating them at all and will need to play a good brand of footy saturday if we want to get the points.

Are Smosh that good or are your mob in dire straits LMA. The whisper around the western suburbs is that Districts are in big trouble.
Seaton are a young side and shouldnt be underestimated. We have finally got a bunch of lads at the club who really want to be here (and finally F-ed Off the whingers and money hungry maggots that have been here over the last few seasons). If we can stay up this year we will only improve next year. The battle is to win enough games in this competitive div to be there next year.

Asked around, and this is true. He plays cricket for Flinders Park, and is apparently playing for the C grade footy side...

Always hard to gauge by trial results but Smosh look like a pretty good outfit. As most people know Districts have had a bit of a player exodus in the past 2 seasons but have picked up a few handy players to go with a fairly young side this season, dire straits I think not, will push for finals but will definately find it harder to jump straight back up to Div 1 as the club have done the last two or three times after relegation.

Pembroke to beat CBCOC, couple of goals
Pooraka over Seaton, similar margin
Flinders Pk to belt the living suitcase out of Mitcham
Portland to do the same to SMOSH
Para Hills to scrape home against GG

I know some SMOSH people & i havn't heard anything like that.
Its funny reading the crap thats designed to take the favourtism of themselves in such a big game.
I think everyone knows it'll be a very good game & mind games play a big part in the build up to it.
You have to go into every game with some confidence & belief or you'll go nowhere.

I love grapes. With grapes, you always get another chance. You know, if you have a crappy apple or a peach, you’re stuck with that crappy piece of fruit. If you have a crappy grape, no problem-just move on to the next. ‘Grapes: The Fruit of Hope.

Ahh yeah that one.... Not upset mate, just wondering which one of our young blokes was on here dribbling sh1t again !!

On a serious note, how has the CBC oval pulled up after Clipsal ?

Mayb it was a poor attempt at humour on my behalf.

A lot better than previous years. Last year half the issue was we had a new irrigation system put in as well. This year we finally convinced the clipsal to put down some plastic matting over the oval plus the rain kept people away on the sunday. Its a little embarrassing the state of the oval, its like inviting the lads over for a beer and serving them warm coopers. Its amazing how little help we get from the clipsal as well. We have to hire a diff oval to train on plus loose home games (canteen takings major income for us). I can assure teams travelling to the aqua dome we have done all we can to get it up to a decent level.

What about your oval/facilities? Cant say i was a fan of the atco hut a couple of years ago.

A lot of people hate a lot of ovals. As far as im concerned Fitzroy has the worst oval in the league followed very closely by Unley. CBC oval gets like Iggies oval but you take the good with the bad. Example the Good = Port Reserve the bad= Unley oval ;)
