Game report - our disposal killed us. Sooo many turnovers that cost us. Call it finals pressure or whatever but we weren't up to scratch and uni were. Need to pull it together for this weeks game against SPOC. Should be a good contest.

game report - your disposal certainly didn't help your cause but walkerville were beaten in the middle with first disposal generally heading uni's way.
was an entertaining game to watch with the game itself being closer than the scores suggest.

would think Walkies will steam roll uni. straight sets 2 years in a row for them!?

Wrong on both counts fella, might be better if you tried to tip racehorses! ;)

So much for Old Iggies having the 'guns', obviously no bullets in the magazine and Walkies showed their normal lack of finals 'guts', and went to water. But just for the exercise we'll blame it on the oval.

i saw most of the saints vs iggies game. saints were smart with the footy and used the clean side of the ground well. i thought Kilsby did a massive job on white and sharr didnt have to much effect. generally though the saints lads ran the ball better,
i still think if it had pissed down iggies were in.

anyones game this week UNI vs ROCS. crouch will need to do another massive job on lister or will matty allan go too him?
midfeild you would think will be a draw. both sides full of guns. uni may have the advantage in the ruck though with Heath

Im a little surprised to not see Gunning or McDowall from PDFC in the top 4 vote getters for them.
They have both had decent years, and seem to both poll well, having won association medals before...

Did not expect Walkerville to go out in straight sets...that would hurt.

A little surprised that Adelaide Uni beat Walkies in the reserves too....Uni's did finish top, but Walkerville were probably the best reserves team i saw all year

Went and watched the second half yesterday. Walkies closed a big gap to within 10 points half way through the last quarter and looked like they might over run SPOC but in the end SPOC had all the answers and looked the better team on the day.

With Walkies out in straight sets will that mean we see Schueffle shuffling off to the twilight zone? My mail is the Walkies imports went missing in a big way - did not turn up to play, only to be paid.

Did you not see the miracle he conjured late on to almost turn the game?
They should have tried to get it to him more often.

Seriously, did the finish not ooze class and poise on the big stage?

Credit where it's due though, the Cats were second best on the day.

Fromm's goal the only real highlight for mine.
Right in front of me. RIGHT IN FRONT OF ME!

Pt Dist have a nerve to be (text-recruiting) Portland players during their finals campaign havn't they?
The bloody cheek of them, i think they are more than concerned with Portland heading to Div2 next year they know Portland are serious about where they are heading as a club & Districts want to derail Portlands attemp of becoming Western Suburbs no.1 SAAFL Port Club.
Another thing they'd be filthy about is the success of Ricky Pearce as coach of Portland, since Pt Districts disgracefully sacked Ricky, Ricky's left no stone unturned in his endevour to prove how wrong they were.
P!ss off Districts you made your bed now lay in it.

Pretty poor form if you ask me. Time will tell. Dont think any of it will work. Why leave a club on the up to a club that is mediocre in how it handles their coaches and parts of the business. I know where my money would be next year and it wouldnt be on anyone leaving Portland to go to PD, ill give you the big tip. I love it. Its August 2011 and they are already sh!tting it. Bring on 2012 i says. I tell you what this forum will be fun to read.

Can you elaborate more NM, texting from whom ? LMAO if texts coming from players is the cause of this post
Good to see Portland are serious and are having some success, I think in your eyes however it will only take 1 win against the magpies to become the Port's No.1 Amateur club, brushing aside a club that has never been below division 2 since coming from SAFA.
I think Ricky deserves a bit more credit than that, I think he has left no stone unturned in his endeavour to get Portland back up to a division they haven't been in for some time and where their Rivvies history suggests they should be and of course his endeavour for premiership success. And I cant tell you most people I have spoken too are looking forward to Portland coming up and are already thinking possible ANZAC day blockbuster.

Mediocre clubs on/off the field don't spend the majority of 30 years in the top division.

Ask your coach, i'm not going to name anyone on here, i would of thought the club would show some sort of respect & let the blokes finish what they started from pre-season & thats win the premiership.
Do you think players looking forward to a Grand Final in 2 weeks, just finishing a game want to read text messages from a coach of another team they'll be challenging "next year" asking them to come onboard? NO WAY.
That is so bloody disrespectful, i say pull your bloody heads in.

I think you will find that Port District started in A3 when they "rejoined" the SAAFL in 1984? if my memory is correct.

RICHMOND, RICHMOND, RICHMOND.

Let that be a lesson to you, Port Adelaide Sturt. & Norwood You don't beat Glenelg in Grand Finals and get away with it.

NM everyone at PDFC cant wait for Portland to come up in 2012 and will finally create the great rivalry thats been building for a few years. Also the majority of the players and club would be happy for Ricky and what he has done at Portland.
