Yeah, we dont want to lose him. He was very good for us last year, i dont think he realises how good a player he could be.

He has alot of mates still at WC though, and an incentive may have been thrown his way, if you get my drift... ;)

Felch after a premiership with such a young side its unusual to see so many players leaving the club. Are you guys still talking with potential recruits, or are you going with what you have?

Not that many leaving (2-3), but the ones that are departing are quality unfortunately. One of them is moving because of his missus work.

Still talking to potential players Slots.

Not too sure about that. They didnt pay anyone in my time there and were adamant about it, excluding awards of course. The mates there is the key, Woodcock being one of them.

Interesting you say that, i had heard different. I agree, the mates thing is a hurdle for us.

I also think he would be selling himself short by going back down to d6, after being one of the top 3-4 ruckman in d4 in 2008. He should have a crack at d3.

Re-signed? Obviously all these guys are on contract$ because you don't sign anything to continue playing at the same club year after year.

Who have they lost? I know someone is training up with a team in the hillls..

Yeah thats Fitzy. He was our full back. The large bloke with the big kick. Thats all he could do though so no massive loss.

Pretty much kept the nucleus of last years team with a few handy additions starting to come out to training.

Also our B's should be very strong this year with alot of young kids that have been around a while.

We've also registered a C Grade team for the time since 92 i think it was and have had alot of blokes crawl out from the under woodwork looking to have a kick and catch with all the their old mates floating round the place.

So yeah, Good Times for the Roos at the moment

Why has Fitzy left? Have Paralowie surely got enough for a C grade? If so can only be good!

Boxy what are you going to do with yourself next year? Just drink on the sidelines? It's not a bad gig :D

Fitzy left for Gums up in Hills Country, Quinno Graham is playing there and they are good mates.

As for me, were gonna try and get a permit so i can be B Grade runner so i at least am involved. But if that fails ill be on the sidelines supporting the lads.

As for the C's we've had at least 50 odd show enthusiasm towards having a kick n catch. Last year in the B's we had at least 5 sitting out and with a few B Graders starting to slow down in their careers, they'll filter down to the C's with a few older blokes returning and some young lads starting there so we should have a good mix of old and young.

If Hendo shows no form in the B's............ :D

Only way you can stop clearing someone is if they are unfinancial.

Talking contracts

How legal are these contracts anyway?

P.s Mitchell Park to join the realms of Div 6 next year....they'd want to recruit more from last year if they want to be a real contender in this grade IMO.

Interesting rumour....i guess if they are going to be playing out at EP again they would probably start training out there soon also?

I would also like to know how other then being unfinancial from last season or signing a contract with EP for this year how EP could not clear them?

Or will this simply be different clubs trying to play "the game" and doing their best and not clearing people until the last minute like always seems to happen?

Always seems to happen when clubs hold a grudge for players leaving (if it's true, of course). Quite often subs are not an issue (as in are offered for free as part of their original conditions of playing) until a player leaves, then all of a suden they "owe money". How is it that these clubs even let players who are not financial play, especially in finals??

It's best to let them go and just sign the clearance if everything is in order, best not to burn any bridges. Any player could have a change of heart and may return if things end amicably

I think the fact that quite a few clubs have been thrown out there as potential finals/GF teams is a good thing for this division and keep a bit of excitment in it up until the end a little like last year where nothing was certain until the last game or two.
