GAZA....**** YEAH....WHAT A LAST QUARTER, I HOPE THATS NOT THE LAST TIME THIS YEAR THAT FOOTY MAKES ME FEEL THAT WAY. AN EPIC BATTLE AND BIG UPS TO SHOC WHO WERE AWESOME IN DEFEAT, GALLANT AND WITH A LITTLE MORE LUCK COULD HAVE BEEN THE PREMIERS. A TRULY EPIC 28 AND A HALF MINUTE BATTLE WORTHY OF THE TITLE...QUARTER OF THE YEAR! WELL DONE EAGLES :D

Just got home from this game Johno, Boxer was really good, I think ended up kicking 3 goals including the match winner late.

Im guessing Johnny wont be coming into work tomorrow, hopefully he can make a go at the pre season with Centrals next season once his finished celebrating this win.

well what a game!!!!
6 lead changes in the last quarter, capped off by the little legend goaling late to give us back the lead.
the standard of the game in the first half was pretty bad. both us and shoc were nowhere near our best.
juniper nearly single handidly won the game for shoc with his 85m drop punts he was kicking.
stevo and heinze for us were standouts.
now i'm going to get some sleep....... i'm stuffed. Zzzzzzzzzzz Zzzzzzzzzz

As was stated, skills were poor in the first half and improved alot after the break. Was a pretty entertaining game after half time!

I thought C De Visser was extremely good and saved SHOCs ass a few times, also ran from defence well and Horan's touch and composure helped release runners all day! Juniper was good, to me he just looks like he goes through the motions though, in saying that in the last he nearly got them over the line!

Difference for me was the pace of the FWD lines. SHOC with Taz, Wilson and Clancy looked slow and when the ball hit the deck there was little pressure, but GAZA had Horse (2 goals) & Boxer (3 goals) etc to snap up anything on the ground.

Hows the pace of Ryan Burns, if only the lad could kick!!!

Still no A grade success for SHOCs but a great effort for an OC club.

well done to Gaza on the the better side all year. Thought shocs were very galant in defeat. Not often i say it but thought 1 of the umpires had a big say in the result. Boxer was good all day, stephens got alot of if even if he did not get a hard ball get and Copping across half back was a brick wall. For Shocs juniper showed he was to good for SAAFL, Wilson if kicked straight could have torn the game apart and on the half back flank Forster was great with his run and attack on the ball. GAza best side all year weel done
We're in hell right now gentlemen. Believe me. And we can stay here, get the shit kicked out of us, or we can fight our way back into the light. We can climb outta hell... one inch at a time.

About 8 players could have tied for the medal coming into the last round....

How do you win the medal and not make the Team of The Year??????

I think you'll find Stengle made the team of the year that was announced at the div 1 & div 2 medal count as their centreman but wasn't named in the footy budget team of the year..

Rising young German star Tom Schlicker from Broadview is set to send his golden locks to Eastern Park in a bid to win promotion back to Division 1 next year. Looks a decent player, heard he nominated for the AFL draft this year, would he be a chance...?
